I spent about 1 month in Malaysia. It is a country with a mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian ....GREAT INDIAN FOOD! :-)

I have now finished the Indonesia pictures. I spent 11 days on Lombok the 2nd island that I visited in Indonesia.This island is muslim like the rest of Indonesia whereas Bali is mainly Hindu. I mainly went to the Gili Islands and then climbed the
Volcano Rinjani. Lombok is a lot less touristy than Bali ... some say the way bali was 20 years ago. The people are REALLY friendly and
less pushy than Bali (except for the port area!). They have not seen too many tourists and are really happy to see you without asking
for money.

It took a while for this update because I was busy "working" :-). I decided to stay in the region of Bali, Indonesia. I rented a motorbike and toured the whole island. I have a new way of presenting my pictures. I still use picassa BUT I have added audio commentary!So from now on there will be 3 links

I toured Bali for 20 days and then went to Lombok (another island near bali) relaxed on the beach, did some scuba diving, climbed volcanoes, rented a motorbike to tour the island and countryside ...

Date: 20 September 2009 - update 1
Well I have finally started World trip Number 5 and 6! It was a long day first day: over 14 Hours in total ... 10.5 hours from Dusseldorf to Bangkok and before that from Vienna to Dusseldorf. I arrived in the morning at 9:00 am into a sunny and very hot climate ... sweating a lot ...Walked around and found a nice room ( with Airconditioning! my first time! :-) ) for 350 Baht (7 Euro) they had no singles left so gave me a double bed instead! Went to sleep and woke up to POURING rain! It rained soooo much that the streets were flooded ... at least 30 cm of water ... but people just continued on doing everything as normal, I guess they are used to it. I decided then to get my sandles as soon as possible. My sandles that Maria (my sister) gave me finally broke after serving me well for many years and 4 trips (Thanks Maria! they were great).
Today, day 2, took the ferry boat and the skytrain to the MBK shopping complexe and bought the sandles. Met a guy, whose name is Kidd, from malaysia who gave me some places to visit in malaysia. He travels a lot to thailand to shop and eat! well at least I like one of them: EAT :-)
In 2 days I will be off to Bali, Indonesia ...
